NCT’s Jaemin joined SM Entertainment in 2013, Jaemin officially joined SM Entertainment and began his trainee period at the age of not even 13. He then met Jeno who later became a member of NCT along with him. Jaemin and Jeno actually joined SM on the same day.

Appearing as SM Rookies, his first appearance on television was when he appeared on the show EXO 90: 2014, along with other EXO members and SM trainees in 2014. Meanwhile for the official debut, he joined the pre-debut team, named SM Rookies in 2015, to be exact on April 22, 2015.

From July to December 2015, Jaemin along with Jisung, Mark, Haechan and Jeno appeared together on the program “The Mickey Mouse Club” which aired on Disney channel Korea.

Jaemin debuted as a member of NCT, then Jaemin was announced to be part of the member who filled the NCT group and also the sub-unit of NCT namely NCT ​​DREAM on August 18, 2016, with the debut song entitled “Chewing Gum” which was officially released on August 24, 2016.

Around February 2017, Jaemin announced that he would be taking a hiatus for some time to receive various treatments due to his injury. He finally recovered and returned again in 2018, making his first comeback since his debut with NCT, with the release of the NCT DREAM song titled “Go” which is also still part of the NCT2018 project.

In 2018, Jaemin together with Super Junior’s Siwon collaborated with UNICEF, one of which was to visit UNICEF’s music project in Vietnam.

Jaemin tried the world of acting. Not only the world of music and singing, Jaemin also began to try out other fields, namely acting, to be precise in April 2019, Jaemin made his acting debut as the male lead in a web drama entitled “How to hate You”. In the web drama he played the role of Han Dae Gang.

Successful album sales in addition to being part of the NCT sub-unit, NCT DREAM, in 2020 he was again part of another NCT sub-unit, NCT U, which debuted with the song “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” which is one of the songs included in the album. NCT2020 album titled “RESONANCE” which recorded sales of more than 1 million copies.

In May 2021 ago, NCT Dream released a full album entitled “Hot Sauce” which managed to topped the Gaon Chart and was recorded to have sold more than 1.7 million copies, and on May 26 it managed to touch the figure of more than 2 million copies, thus earning the title. Then NCT DREAM’s repackaged album titled “Hello Future”, also managed to sell up to 1 million copies. This also makes NCT DREAM the youngest K-Pop group to get the Triple million Sellers predicate.
