   Mass media have long been recognized as powerful forces shaping how we experience the world and ourselves. This recognition is accompanied by a growing volume of research, that closely follows the footsteps of technological transformations (e.g. radio, movies, television, the internet, mobiles) and the zeitgeist (e.g. cold war, 9/11, climate change) in an attempt to map mass media major impacts on how we perceive ourselves, both as individuals and citizens.

   Following datum can be examples of role of mass media in the phase of quarantine and COVID-19 which has been spread all over the world.

   Firstly, mass media provide effective health communication for the adoption of sustainable preventive measures and curtailing misinformation. as we know, nowadays almost 85% of world population are working with a long distance from their office, so its easy to get wrong news about any happenings in the world. to solve this problem, people should address to only mass media.

   Secondly,they help to reduce stigma, prejudice, discrimination and inequalities among individuals. for example, in the beginning of being spread of virus in China, people got shocked as a result of videos on the Internet with full of wrong information.a played the role of strong expert of psychology.

   Finally, mass media helps to regulate population's behavior and explains different things during quarantine such as how to wash hands, how to make daily timetable and so on. To go over the main points, despite the fact that some people think that mass media is not important during quarantine, several merits of mass media outweigh that thought.
