My name is Tatiana. I live in Taganrog and I`d like to tell you about my city.It is situated in the south of Russia on the Azov sea. Taganrog is not very big, there are only about 300000 citizens in it, but it`s rather old. Taganrog was founded by Peter the Great in 1698 and I know that the tsar was going to make it a capital, but changed his mind. A famous Russian writer A.P.Chekhov was born here and we can visit his house.It is a museum now. There is also an old house where F.Ranevskaya lived.There are many ancient houses in Taganrog.Our city is connected with such names as Alexander the first,A.S. Pushkin, Chaikovskiy, Garibaldy and some modern famous people. Many years ago M.Tanich went to school№ 10 in Taganrog and now I go to this school. But I like my city not for its history, industry and famous people. I enjoy walking along the streets in spring when cherry and apple trees are in blossom and I like watching the sea when the sun is shining brightly in summer. There are a lot of chestnut trees in our park.You will never forget their white and pink flowers. In autumn the leaves on maple trees turn red and yellow and then they fall down covering the ground.I like my city and invite you to visit it.
