Arabs of America is an independent bilingual newspaper based in Washington DC, founded in May 22, 1997.

Audiences:


Our targeted audiences are the Arabic speakers, both Muslim and non-Muslim, as well as English speakers with Middle Eastern background.


Policy:

In our editorial policy, nothing would limit freedom of speech other than, accuracy, reliability, and respect for the intellectual rights of others

Goal:

Our goal is to encourage freedom of expression, which is protected by the US Constitution, among the Arab communities in the Diaspora.

Founder:

Munir Mawari, an American journalist and native speaker of Arabic. He has a BA degree in Journalism from Yarmouk University in Jordan 1988, a Diploma in English from Georgetown University 2007 and an MBA degree from WGU 2019. He worked previously for al-Jazeera Network in Doha Qatar,  Voice of America Radio in Washington DC and Asharq al-Awsat, pan-Arab daily based in London.
