I currently have the old dead bolt and a door handle [closet type} just below it, around 3 3/4 inches between the center of the holes. Will my old style lock convert to this lock?It is recommended to have 5" spacing between the units. The interior pack of the electronic deadbolt needs this spacing. What if the previous owners of your new house "lost" the keys; is there a some kind of markings on the the lockset itself that maybe helpful to identify the key code?
