Studies show people sit more than they sleep, so we've made it our mission to design the most comfortable ergonomic chairs on earth. Sit in one of our ergonomic chairs, and we're confident you'll experience proper support. You can also be kind to your body in other ways in addition to sitting in an ergonomic chair. We offer desks with a surface that moves with you from sitting to standing and keyboard trays that tilt and swivel, in addition to our ergonomic chairs. Design by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf, 1994. Made in the U.S.A. by Herman Miller. Revolutionary when it was introduced in 1994, Aeron kick-started the way we sit and remains more than relevant in today’s modern workspace. The Aeron Posturefit Office Chair’s pioneering ergonomic design is one of the most recognizable office chairs on the market. Aeron adapts naturally and adjusts precisely to fit people of all sizes and postures doing all kinds of activities, all day long. It offers superior comfort with Pellicle®, a form fitting, weight distributing, transparent, textural material, that allows for ventilation. The adjustable Kinemat® tilt lets users move naturally and effortlessly, from forward-leaning through reclining. Innovative suspension and easy-to-use adjustment controls provide healthy comfort and balanced body support. The high, wide, contoured back takes the pressure off the lower spine. Armrests slope slightly down in the back for the most natural and comfortable support.

The “waterfall” front edge of the seat takes the pressure off thighs, to keep blood circulating so users stay alert and focused. Launched at NeoCon 2013, the groundbreaking Gesture™ Work Chair was inspired by the movement of the human body and designed for the interface between user and technology. Today’s modern workspace finds us moving between tablets, laptops, desktops, cell phones, notebooks and more. To examine these new working dynamics, Steelcase conducted a global posture study in which they observed 2,000 people in 11 countries in a wide range of postures. What they discovered was nine postures that have resulted from new technologies and their associated behaviors. This is where Gesture™ picks up. It is a chair as advanced as today’s technology, offering support where it has not previously existed. Eames Soft Pad Executive Chair Design by Charles & Ray Eames, 1969. This plush padded furniture group was introduced by Herman Miller in 1968 as a luxurious, yet durable counterpart to the Eames Aluminum group.

The high-back Soft Pad Executive chair features a continuous piece of seat-back upholstery stretched tautly between aluminum side ribs, creating a firm and flexible sitting pocket that subtly conforms to the body’s shape. 2″ thick foam upholstered cushions add a plush touch to this line’s durable aluminum base. With one-piece, curved aluminum side ribs and a polished aluminum 5-star base with casters and tilt-swivel mechanism, the chair is strong, yet lightweight and easy to move. Available in 12 unique fabric and leather upholstery options in a range of beautiful colors and textures. In Summer 2009, the Soft Pad Executive Chair got a lift with pneumatic height adjustment and tilt lock options. The pneumatic feature (optional) increases the ease of height adjustment and range of motion to suit a broader range of seating applications and body types, and adds an additional 2″ to the chair’s height. Tilt lock allows the seat angle to be secured in a neutral position. Herman Miller has painstakingly preserved this classic silhouette and updated its usability for modern applications.

Select Manual or Pneumatic Seat-Height Adjustment and desired caster option. Then select base/frame finish and upholstery textile color. Design by Yves Béhar, 2010. Herman Miller teamed with industrial designer Yves Béhar to create the SAYL™ Adjustable Work Chair. Stripping down all assumptions and conventions, the team built this chair from the bottom up, with the user fully in mind. That resulted in a literally unframed design. It adapts to the user’s shape and movements. And it easily slips into any space and complements the objects around it. The SAYL™ Adjustable Work Chair goes beyond expectations by combining the right support, optimal comfort, adjustable, intuitive controls and minimal materials — all with an extremely small environmental impact. It is everything a Herman Miller chair should be . . . at a very attainable price. The SAYL Adjustable Work Chair includes Standard Height-Range pneumatic height adjustment and can be customized with Adjustable Arm, Tilt and Seat Depth options with Caster options and an optional Lumbar Support upgrade over a 5-star base.

Design by Formway Design, 2012. ReGeneration by Knoll’s simplified construction minimizes materials and components. Its straightforward design leverages flexible, durable and sustainable materials that respond to your movements. The slim profile back features a contoured frame that supports the natural shape of the back. Its high performance elastomer Flex Net back flexes with seated movements and provides integral lumbar support. An optional adjustable lumbar support is available to further tailor this feature to your precise needs. Designed for 270 degrees of sitting, ReGeneration’s Flex Seat features three sides of seat edge flex and seat depth adjustment. Arms are set back for leg clearance. And contoured arm pads offer continuous lumbar support when side sitting. Additional features provide for responsive performance — like the weight compensated Dynamic Suspension control featuring a smooth, synchronized recline and four independent flexors that respond to multi-directional movement.

ReGeneration includes a recline resistance feature for greater upright support. Aeron PostureFit Work Stool GraphiteHerman Miller’s Aeron Work Stool features all the ergonomic and aesthetic features of its predecessor, the Aeron Work Chair. Intended for work and meeting spaces with standing desks and bar height tables, the Aeron Work Stool supports and breathes the user through a range of seated motions and postures. Adjustable Posturefit Support allows the user to customize the fit in their lower back area to help maintain an upright posture. With its adjustable footring, this high-performance stool can be fine tuned within a range of 5.5″ for optimal positioning and comfort. Design by Antonio Citterio, 2008. Elegant and unobtrusive — the Skape Lowback Chair combines the unbeatable comfort of an easy chair with the functionality of an office swivel chair, though the mechanics and functions remain hidden away. Offering a dynamic seating experience, the Skape Lowback Chair features a synchronizing mechanism with a large opening angle and automatic weight adjustment of the backrest resistance, ensuring that the user’s weight is supported in every sitting position.

The backrest of the Skape ‘hugs’ the person sitting in it and lends a feeling of security. Skape’s decorative seams allow individual pieces of intricately processed leather to be smoothly and evenly sewn together, thus achieving a perfect fit on the luxurious, zoned padding of the seat and backrest. The polished, die-cast aluminum five-star base has 2¼” double casters in Basic Dark. The Skape Lowback Chair contains up to 37% recycled material and is up to 80% recyclable when fully separated. Mirra 2 Chair with Adjustable Arms Design by Studio 7.5, 2013. Ten years after the introduction of the Mirra Chair, the designers of Studio 7.5 and Herman Miller teamed up to rethink every part of their successful design. Re-examining each component and feature of the original, Studio 7.5 created the Mirra 2 to address the evolution of today’s more active workspace. The resulting chair honors the spirit and aesthetics of the original in a leaner, more agile design that supports you wherever you go.

Mirra 2 with Adjustable Arms comes standard with fully adjustable arms, standard tilt and a fixed seat depth and can be upgraded with tilt limiter, adjustable seat depth and lumbar support options. When you sit, Mirra 2 with Adjustable Arms adapts to you instantly. Shift, and the desk chair supports even your slightest movements. Mirra 2’s Butterfly Back™ merges AireWeave back fabric with the polymer veins of its seat back to support you as you move. This “hybrid structure” is shaped for dynamic support that is highly responsive and keeps the body in healthy alignment. A reinvented Harmonic™ Tilt features a supportive leaf-spring design that creates smooth movement and a balanced feel as you move from one posture to another. Featuring a refreshed color palette and base finish options, Mirra 2 is reinvented from the ground up. Eames Aluminum Group Executive Chair Design by Charles & Ray Eames, 1958. Herman Miller introduced the Eames Aluminum Group in 1958 as Charles and Ray Eames’ response to the need for high-quality indoor-outdoor furniture, and soon moved inside exclusively.

The sophisticated, high-back Eames® Aluminum Group Executive Chair is a commanding desk chair from any angle. Its lightweight aluminum frame with suspended upholstery is streamlined and supportive, offering maximum comfort in a minimal profile. The Executive Chair features a tall back with arms and a 5-star base, tilt-swivel mechanism, and seat-height adjustment and can be upholstered in a variety of fabric and leather options to customize its look and feel. A healthier way to sit — the ergonomic Leap Leather Office Chair by Steelcase conforms to your body, rather than the other way around, encouraging movement which helps reduce pressure on the spine, sends oxygen to your muscles, and increases blood flow to your brain. Leap’s patented LiveBack® technology changes shape to mimic the movement of your spine while the Natural Glide System™ enables you to comfortably recline without straining your eyes, neck, or arms. With an exceptional range of adjustments, Leap delivers full support for various body shapes and sizes.
