"WOW! That was amazing! Did you see him fly like that!?" Siyi screamed excited as he jumped on the jeep, Lawrence inside of it already, looking back to Sam who was kneeling over the eagle.

"He looked just like an angel..." Said Lawrence, impressed.

"...Angel? What's an angel?" Asked Siyi.

"It's, uh... Something from pre-crisis mythology. Appears a lot in religious imagery, they're messengers of God and..."

"Ah! So you mean like the things that appeared during the cri-"

"It's enough, you two, we can talk more when we get back to Heaven's Shield. A friend of mine will give you two a hand from now on." Said Sam, picking up the eagle as he approached the jeep, with a somber look in his face.

"Oh, what are you going to do with the eagle? Do you think you can find a-" Asked Lawrence before stopping when he saw that Sam wrapped its whole body with a blanket.

"...Why did you..." Asked Siyi, making a pause to think his words for a bit. "Shouldn't the dog be like the...!"

"He was." Said Sam stepping inside the jeep, behind the wheel.

"But how did you help him if...?" Asked Lawrence shyly.

"His heart stopped. It would have been really bad if I wasn't there." He grunted clenching the wheel of the jeep.

The two kids felt awkward over what Sam was saying, but they didn't know what to say in exchange.

"...My apologies, I... I will make sure the eagle gets an adequate burial, and that Zeribe is careful from now on."

"...Z-Zeribe? You don't mean...? The one from the broadcasts?" Asked Siyi.

"Wait, was he named after the crisis hero? Or is he actua-?" Asked Lawrence.

"Uhh... Do any of you kids know how to drive?" Asked Sam.

"No." Said Siyi.

"...No." Said Lawrence

"...Siyi?" Asked Sam.

"...Y-Yes?"

"Be sure to pray for the three of us. We'll need the heaven's protection more than ever." Said Sam igniting the jeep, and nervously setting it in motion, immediately accelerating to the sheer limit of the vehicle and quickly losing control of it.

"Wait, WAIT!" Screamed the two, but it was too late to protest.
