We are Circus Family. A family of audiovisual designers with a passion for bringing challenging projects to life, using design, moving image, music and interactive technology. We specialise in the fields of fashion, music, sports and luxury. As well as commissioned work, for brands such as Nike and Tommy Hilfiger, and events including SXSW and New York Design Week, we love to create our own projects, just for the fun of it. Founded in Amsterdam in 2004, we started of making snowboarding films, and today, founder Wout Westen still brings his directorial talents to projects as diverse as documentary series “Pull Up” as well as highly visual installations for a wide range of events. We believe in merging design and technology to explore new territories, create powerful audiovisual experiences and tell stories worth telling. Like what you read? Strictly speaking Depot09 is not just one company, its host Bram told me during my visit, but rather a group of Dutch and Belgian dealers who joint hands last September and moved into an old factory hall on Nieuwevaart 118. And apparently this move has paid off. Holiday sales were great and Bram explained that a considerate portion of the usual stock had been sold. Lucky for me, there was still a great deal of vintage furniture and home accessories to discover and photograph for Interiorator.

My heart jumped a little when I saw the Brumbury lamp I have wanted for years. It was reasonably priced, but I decided to wait just a little bit longer until I have finalized my plans for a big living room makeover this summer. Yes, I’m finally growing up! PS: The pictures you see here are less than a week old – so if you see something that tickles your fancy, hop in your car and drive to Ghent. Of course you can also contact Depot09 to see if they can ship that polar bear skin or that giant plastic ear to you! Oh, and one more thing – check out the house I walked by on the way back to the city center. Pretty bold color choice! Apart from celebrating an incredible year with beautiful food and wine, we also hit up some culture spots and visited the Neues Museum to see in person the David Chipperfield architecture, that we have been referencing for so long!

We would all like to say a massive thank you to our Managing Director, Philip Handford for allowing this trip to happen. We can safely say that the whole CAMPAIGN Team had an amazing time. Last week our Creative Director, Philip Handford took a trip to LA for a very exciting project we have coming up. Although I cannot tell you anything in regards to that, I can however show you what he got up to in his spare time. This included flying a plane he hired around LAX Airport. Check out these pics! This August the CAMPAIGN team took time out of their busy studio schedule to infuse their minds at the Biennale in Venice. We spent 2 days exploring each international art exhibition featuring architecture, visual arts, cinema, dance, music, and theatre that is held in the Castello district of Venice every two years during the summer. Not only did we see some fabulous instillations, we were also blessed with the beautiful Italian weather. Its safe to say, a great time was had all round!Ann Veronica Janssens: yellowbluepink

If like us you LOVE a free installation that blows your mind, you should definitely check out the yellowbluepink by Ann Veronica Janssens at Wellcome Collection, Euston Road.Ann explores light and colour as she invades the gallery with coloured mist. The colour obscures any detail of surface and depth whilst caught in a state of suspension. If you fancy testing your conscious experience, take a look around this disorientating and uplifting Gallery. Janssens work will really test your senses. CAMPAIGN for Kurt Geiger Campaign & Kurt Geiger have had a lot fun working together with Selfridges and Harrods to create contemporary Kids shoe departments. Kids footwear is an area of retail that is growing fast. To reflect this we were briefed by Kurt Geiger to create bold, memorable retail interiors that would capture the imagination of both Kids and Parents for Harrods and Selfridges. The outcome is two very individual store environments for the same brand. Kurt Geiger @ SELFRIDGESSelfridges is a Playful Modern space inspired by Monsters & Dr Zues’s  ‘The Cat in the Hat’.

The space plays with striped flooring in 2 tone wood to bring warmth, as well as bold black and white detailing on the walls to add contrast to the space. There is a collection of elements that create a playful design language. We brought in the Campana Brothers 'Banquete Chair with Pandas’ and ‘cake stool’ for big impact and mixed this into the furniture language of 'monster teeth' tables and colourful calf skin plinths and risers. Kurt Geiger @ HARRODSHarrods is a Luxurious & Magical space which was inspired by The Japanese animation ‘My neighbor Totoro'. We created a mixture of refined and minimal design with luxurious, playful woodland forms. White abstract trees reach up to the ceiling canopy of a folded chrome leaf installation. Floating into the space are large furry creatures in green mink that children can climb into and play on iPads whilst the parents shop. The arrangements of trees create a central soft teal lounge space that is both practical and inspiring.Alexander McQueen SAVAGE BEAUTY

From one of the greatest designers of our time comes the best dressed haunted house you will ever visit. This weekend the CAMPAIGN team visited the brilliant and absorbing experience of the Alexander McQueen exhibition which opened at the V&A back in March. Claire Wilcox was the curator of this inspirational exhibition, and we believe the story could not have been documented better throughout each room. Upon entering the exhibition, the first thing that strikes you is not just the beauty of the clothes, but the way in which they are displayed. The V&A features over 200 retrospective pieces by the late British fashion designer, including 30 new pieces not seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where the exhibition was originally staged in 2011. If they are not already sold out, we recommend that you purchase your tickets for Savage Beauty immediately. I promise you will not regret it! X'When I'm dead and gone, people will know that the twenty-first century was started by Alexander McQueen.'Lee Alexander McQueen

This week we took a stroll through the Hermes Wanderland, exploring its quintessentially Parisian practise which is created in all of their stores and store displays, where time is not lost, it's rediscovered. Bruno Gaudichon was entrusted with curating this exhibition dedicated to Flaneur Forever, their 2015 theme, and Hubert Le Gall was named as set designer. The Hermes Exhibition is taking place at the SAATCHI GALLERY until the 2nd May. We encourage you to take a wander, and wonder, in wonderland!I hope you enjoy this super serial exhibition as much as Campaign did! Last night we attended the beautiful and scent inspiring Haeckel's pop-up shop at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. The natural fragrance and skin care brand was founded by film maker Dom Bridges back in 2012, and since then has grown from strength to strength. The brand even playing an active part in the local community by organising beach cleans, and taking part in marine conservation surveys.Hand crafted and literally made of Margate, the skin, hair and body products are produced from genuine raw natural products.

The interior (also recycled) of this pop-up shop and the Haeckel's packaging relates back to the Margate, in all its coastal beauty.  If like us you are into your Aromaphone’s (ceramic scent trumpets) calming interiors, and inspiring products, the shop is a must see.  It will be open for the next 6 months, so make sure you pop in and say hi!Thanks for having us Haeckel's. 53 Monmouth Street, London Anglo-Swedish watch brand Larson and Jennings, have opened their first store in London’s Seven Dials. Designed by Campaign, the store brings a touch of Stockholm to London in a minimal interior. The focal point within the store is a simple plywood bench that displays luxury watches on Ash timber and polished brass rods. The store benefits from a customisation service and limited edition LJX Bronze watch only available in store. The customer is welcome to enjoy a coffee while shopping at the Scandinavian inspired ‘FIKA’ bar.Check it out and maybe treat yourself to an early Christmas gift!

We recently popped along to the National Theatre to check out, 'The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time' A play based on the novel by Mark Haddon. The play that explores themes such as 'difficulties of truthfulness' was a real eye opener and exploits some of our Great British acting talent- evident in Graham Buttler who stars in the lead role.We were in awe with the fantastic set and lighting deign by Bunny Christie and Paul Constable. The use of modern technology on stage really elevates the performance while the linear staging is playful and intelligent- constantly adapting as the scenes progressed. Retail Week Awards 2014...Winners! It may be the Friday feeling, but we are still buzzing from last weeks win at the annual 'Retail Week Interior Awards' where we picked up not one but two gongs for:Best Pop Up/ VM Solution Of The YearUK Retail Interior Of The YearBoth for our project 'Fragrance Lab' in collaboration with The Future Laboratory and Selfridges. The ideology behind the Fragrance Lab was to create a unique personalisedfragrance centred around a series of tactile sensory based experiences all designed

toheighten the senses and push the boundaries of retail design. Our creative director Philip Handford along with Kirsty Minns of theFuture Laboratory collected both awards on stage at last weeks ceremony.Piet Hein Eek Printed Stool Recognisable paintings printed onto plywood stools part of the Dutch Design week on from tomorrow 18th October until 26th October in Eindhoven. This years Frieze in London's Regents Park has a tent design by Barber Osgerby and has been curated by Mark Wallinger of Hauser and Worth. The above 'Los Teatros De Saturno' is an eye catching piece by Argentinean artist, Adrian Villiar Rojas but overall there is an abundance of good art!Chanel No.5's New Era Famed director Baz Luhrman has teamed up with Chanel, producing the new advertising campaign for the iconic No.5 fragrance. The advert stars model Gisele Bundchen who represents todays modern woman. The advert is very cinematic and plays a great cover of Grease's'You're The One That I Want' by Lo Fang.
