The saviour of many a shepherd tending to his lambing flock. Our new shepherd's huts are founded on this tradition but with modern comforts carefully woven in so as not to detract from the hut's rural grace and simple beauty. We strike a perfect balance with subtle skill to bring you an exquisite, wood-clad, hand-painted hut with electricity, insulation and carefully fitted double-glazed windows and door. We take great pride in the quality of finish for every Suffolk Shepherd's Hut and offer enormous flexibility on design and colour. We can fit a single or a clever slide-away full sized double bed, a drop-leaf table, shelving and cupboards and can provide a full interior decorating and soft furnishing service if required.
Huts can have two or three windows, which can be positioned in various ways and doors can be stable-style or glazed to the rear or double doors to one side. if you have a favourite hue and want the roof to match, we can oblige. Integrated lighting and a sound system are no problem. Please ensure that you bring everything as if you were going camping – except a tent! How many people can you fit in a pod? Each pod can sleep up to five. Do the pods have electricity? Yes, they have electrical points and lighting. Yes, each pod is insulated with sheep’s wool and double glazed. Can you cook in them? There is a microwave, toaster and kettle but most of the cooking will be on the brick built barbeque.
The pods have double glazed doors secured with a mortice lock. Each pod has a double bed and a sofa-bed suitable for two. Yes, we have space for one car per pod. Where do pods come from? Our pods are manufactured to a very high standard in either Cumbria or North Yorkshire. We do not allow smoking inside our pods however smoking outside the pods is permitted as long as an ash-tray is used and “butts” are not discarded on the forest floor. What time can we check in and when do we need to check out? Check-in is from 3pm on your day of arrival. If you are looking for an earlier arrival then please let us know. Check-out is by 11am on your day of departure. What is your address? What is your refund policy? We have four pods well-spaced within our woodland copse.
