I own an old piano that belonged to my grandparents. It was imported from Poland in the 1930s and has a shiny dark wooden base. In past days, this kind of musical instrument entertained hosts and their guests and was a source of listening to music or even songs.

The piano reminds me of my childhood for the reason that our family visited my grandparents' house in the countryside almost every summer thus we could play the piano or listen to a performance of family members. Such gatherings left a lot of positive and inspiring moments in my mind.

When my grandparents died, the piano was handed down to my aunt who has a big house for keeping the important souvenir. It sat in the living rooms and over years has been covered with books and statues. Sometimes people don't notice the piano coming into the room, though some relatives still remember this instrument and we can play a song or two on the instrument which arise not only melodic sounds but memories.
