So far this fall, rentals in the wider Lakeview neighborhood have skyrocketed over previous years, according to Airbnb. The site logged nearly 5,800 guest stays this September, compared with just over 3,800 in September 2015. And as the Cubs gear up for Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday, the market for rentals is only getting hotter.
