DevOps Engineer

Requirements:

• 5+ years in DevOps and Software development
• Experience with Cloud Providers like AWS, GCP, Azure
• Understanding Infrastructure as Code concept.
• Experience with Terraform or similar
• Good knowledge of orchestration tools: Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with logging systems: ELK
• Experience with monitoring systems: Prometheus
• Experience with Jenkins

Would be a plus:

• Basic knowledge of Python (for automation)
• Administration of Cassandra

Responsibilities:

• Increase availability and optimize operational costs of infrastructure
• Design and implement highly available services to reduce complexity in legacy systems and enable fault isolation and improved reliability.
• Design and implement adjustments to the overall network and system infrastructure of customer cloud services to improve security, flexibility, and availability of the overall system.
• Perform postmortem analysis in response to operational incidents, analyzing system telemetry to drive continual improvement.
• Implement automation and environment agnostic infrastructure while keeping an eye on new tools and techniques when possible

About the project:

The main area of the project: Healthcare industry

Company has developed a comprehensive preventative and proactive healthcare platform that combines clinical-grade sensors, machine learning, patient histories, insurance claims data, and other information to provide real-time at-risk screening for several disease conditions; these include acute respiratory infections, and chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Contextualized 24/7 data along with clinician input and interventions will then be used to guide positive behavior changes. The premise is to catch various health conditions early and help reverse or manage the negative effects.

Problem:

• There are some slow endpoints/queries to the database that need to be optimized.
• During the growing of the project, the customer needs to implement big features like caching mechanism, multitenancy, etc.

Solution:

• Monitoring from code via Prometheus client.
• Endpoints performance optimization.
• Improving application cache layer mechanism.
