Monite built a one-stop shop for SME finance & admin automation and started as a business selling to SMEs. Now we've changed the direction to be an API-first company that enables players with large business audiences to offer value-added financial services within their interface. This is a new industry that will be as big as Embedded Finance, it will focus on finance automation services.

E.g. in the API case - neobank Tide could 3x unit economics & engagement by offering expenses automation like Expensify/Rydoo and payables automation like Libeo/Melio payments / Candis via our API. With our API it'd be 4-8 week deployment time and close-to-zero building cost.

The API product will sell globally with the focus on the US & UK. We are remote-first but have offices in Berlin and will have more all over the world. We raised over €1mn in the pre-seed round in 2021 from several top European VCs and angels, and now have closed over €10mn in Seed funding from leading US & EU investors.

About the role 🏃🏼

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer, who will own big parts of product that we build, such as Payments and Accounts Payable, spending most of their time in product design, helping & guiding dev teams in product implementation according to created designs.

It's essential you are strong in product design & UX as well as research. You'll be working closely with product people, doing prototypes and testing where needed, and running the complete process to come to a better design solution.

It's crucial you can quickly figure out new complex environments to find the right design solutions for them (e.g. how could a barbershop platform offer AP Automation to clients). Together with the design team, you will be defining guidelines and principle we follow in product design domain.

You'd be reporting to the Head of Product Design and working with a team of product & tech professionals who have complementary expertise in areas like AP/AR Automation, API building, and more. The design currently has 4 product designers, marketing designer and a freelance marketing/brand designers to help with routine tasks.

🎒 Key responsibilities

• Own product design (UI/UX) of Payments and Accounts Payable domains
• Own Figma prototypes (Demos) for respective functionality
• Own Figma files for respective functionality, keep & maintain them in order
• Own design assets such as User Journeys, User Flow diagrams and other
• Planning & running usability study activities where and when needed
• Doing competitor analysis and market research where and when needed to define the best possible UX solutions for given user problems

⚒️ Design & other experience

• 3+ years of overall product / tech experience
• 2+ year(s) of experience focusing on UX/UX research
• You have experience with design testing (usability studies)
• You are able to find great design solutions for new environments (e.g. our client's interface)
• You distinguish between assuming and knowing and pivot/iterate on everything
• Great at MVPs and post-MVPs — you know how to take a big idea and break it down to go with fast iterations and find Product–Market Fit
• You're good in communication e.g. with clients or internal stakeholders
• Robust communication skills — you are used to working with diverse international teams in a fast-paced environment and ready to verbalise and defend your design decisions
• You have an organized, independent & efficient working style
• You are fluent in English
