 About This Guide

This document outlines how to pair a FOH iOS demo device to the iOSdm Mac Hub, permitting autonomous, over-the-air configuration and management. This guide assumes the proper configuration and installation of iOSdm hardware in your server rack outlined in the “iOSdm Hardware Preparation Guide.”

What is iOSdm?

iOSdm is a powerful system designed to let Retail teams manage multiple devices simultaneously and simply, all while maintaining a seamless customer experience.

Currently, when new demo content is released, the Visual team installs that content onto Visual Merchandising Portables and restores it manually onto iOS demo devices. This can be time consuming and labor intensive. With iOSdm, this process is now performed over the air autonomously!

To complete this process, you’ll need:

• A Visual Merchandising Portable(VMP) with El Capitan or higher

• Apple Remote Desktop

• Access to pass.apple.com from a Backstage iMac.

   NOTE

All iOSdm device management will be performed within Remote Desktop on your VMP.
