Delta 8 THC is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis (hemp and marijuana) and is commonly abbreviated as Delta 8 THC, Δ8THC, Δ8, D8, D8 THC. It’s created as a byproduct as delta 9 THC breaks down. Some of the delta 9 THC converts to CBN (inactive cannabinoid), while a small percentage is converted to the more stable delta 8 THC isomer instead.
