The banger racing involves smashes, rolling and occasionally fire. Then the stock car racing is proper non-contact race for trophy. £15 per adult (15 years old and over is an adult). Think kids are £7 (but not sure as we dont have kids). A great day out, and reasonably priced. You can hire deck chairs, for £2, £1 is returnable. Food is pretty good too, but you are allowed to take a picnic. It is an entertaining day, with laughs at the end of the day with the caravan demolition derby. Highly recommended I took my 13 yr old 10yr old & 5 yr old we all had a fantastic day and was very close to the action... brilliant It's great if you want to do something different and exciting. £10 gets you a whole day of racing on a Sunday. You can nip out and grab some lunch from lakeside then back for the big smash up at the end. I used to race here as a kid, first on Motor X then as I got older the Bangers. A lot has changed for the better including a bar and various other reasonably priced fast food outlets (even chair hire).
Can still get a little dusty and smoky around track side, but there are plenty of other places to see... Good day out for all the family, bring along your own chairs food and drink and sit back and enjoy the racing. It gets dusty in hot weather.. Loads of fun, good value for money. Make sure you stick around for the destruction derby. Runs from 1pm till around 6pm. Take a pop up chair to sit on. Have come to banger days at arena essex a few times now and love it every time. Used to go great yarmouth as a child and always loved it. Love a good crash and its always a good laugh when they do last man standing at the end. Short circuit motor racing, an oval track, which hosts a variety of formulas each fortnight or so. Okay, so here's what you get: Park in the car park, get your ticket, watch some racing.
