The school and life of an U.S. kid

Hi, I'm Pia and I'm 14 years old. I was going to a german school but since the summer journey I've been living in California with my parents. Now I'm going to an american middle school there. I was very nervous and a little bit scared of it because I nerver was in a so big city like San Francisco before. But I was also excited because I've been getting to know new people and another cultures. Also I could and can practise at my english now.

Just I want to explain you what the difference between german schools and american schools is and I want to tell you about the life kids in the U.S.A.

The school and the life of american kids and german kids:

In America:

In America the students are going to school all day. They come with a schoolbus, by public or private transport. For lunch some kids bring a bag lunch from home or some kids eat a hot meal in the school cafeteria. In the afternoon the school is over but a lots of kids don't go home because they have some kinds of activities to go on. Some kids have training with the school team and some kids have a drama or chess club meeting. Also on the weekend the students spend a lot of time in school because there are some events. But the events are very different. It could be a social events or some football events and more events.

In school we have some lockers where we can put some school things or personality things in it.

In Germany:

In Germany the students are going to school till noon ore afternoon five times in the week. From monday till friday. They come with bus or with a car. For lunch some kids bring a bag lunch from home or some kids buy a ticket for a warm meal in the school cafeteria. When the school is over the students are going at home and doing their homework at home. After their homework they've got some hobbies or they've their hobbies direct after school. After their hobbies they've got dinner and some free time.

My old school ~ I miss it

I would say that the german school system is more chill then the american school system.

So, that was my blog today. I hope you're fine :)

Stay healthy.
