Your smart device will send an electronic communication to the internet cloud. Your home router will then receive this communication and pass it via Wi-Fi to the Door Control Module (DCM), which is connected to the opener. The DCM then communicates to the Door Position Sensor (DPS) mounted on the door via Bluetooth Technology. Within seconds the DPS returns information back through the system to your smart device. This product is terrific... This product is terrific. I previously used another Internet-based garage opener before but kept losing connection to the Internet. The Aladdin Connect is fool-proof. It works like a charm. It is easy to setup and install. Great product and does exactly what it is designed to do... Great product and does exactly what it is designed to do. It does take some careful reading of the installation literature and watching the company installation video. However after it's installed it woks every time. Now when I'm away from home I can simply look at my phone to ensure our garage doors are closed. The pop-up door operating notices are great to let us know when the doors are opened or closed. I can also use my phone to open/close the doors when I need to allow someone access to my garage or home when I'm away. That is a really great benefit.I like the alert when my family open[s] and close[s] the door. I know (they're) off safe and the history is nice too.
Amy, at customer support, was terrific... Genie Aladdin WiFi door attendant works great. I did however call the help desk number which is listed on the install instructions. Amy, at customer support, was terrific at walking me through the actual setup to get the built in logic working correctly. It's all there and works terrific!Just follow the YouTube installation video for the quickest install, takes about 30 mins total. I bought this to give me a piece of mind that my condo's garage was closed. So far I love this thing. Love the way you can see when the door is open and closed so you can tell if someone is home or has left. Aladdin Connect works great...
