HopeNow Furniture Bank collects gently used furniture and household goods from donors and distributes them without charge to eligible Knox County families in need. Please Note:  Because of large increases in expenses that threaten HopeNow’s ability to keep operating, we must charge a $20 furniture pickup fee, paid by check or cash, starting February 15th, 2017 To confirm receipt of your pickup request, you will receive an email message (if applying online) or a phone call (if leaving a voice message) within two business days.  You will be contacted again a day or two before the planned pickup date You can also drop off furniture at our warehouse, located at 1025 S. Main Street in Mount Vernon, just 1/4 mile south of Blubaugh’s Body & Frame shop.  We are open Tuesdays 1:00-3:30pm, Thursdays 10:00-12:30pm, and seasonal Saturdays (April through October) 10:00am-1:00pm. Donated furniture must be gently used:  clean, without stains or heavy wear, no pet hair or holes in the fabric.  




We do not accept electronics, reclining couches, hide-a-beds, desks, entertainment centers, or large appliances. Furniture must be ready at a location where it can easily be moved to the truck, usually on the main floor.  Our volunteers do not haul up or down stairs. Donors will be provided with a tax receipt for their Twin, full, and queen mattresses & box springs, bed frames, dressers, chest of drawers, couches/love-seats, recliners & easy chairs, end/coffee tables, night stands, TV stands, shelf units, bed linens of all sizes, dish ware, silverware, pots & pans, bed linens of all sizes, bath and kitchen towels. Pick-ups are available for the followling items: Dining Tables and Sets Coffee and End Tables Please fill out the following form to see if we can accomodate a furniture pick up for you. Please note the items we pick up go straight into service or for sale at our Thrift Store. We do not clean, repair, or refurbish items. We also do not disassemble or pack items when picking up. Furniture pick-ups are typically scheduled two to three weeks from the webform submission date. Pictures of furniture are required for scheduling. If you are interested in including non-furniture items with your pick-up, all household items must be in boxes/bins and clothing must be in bags/boxes. After submitting the form, you will receive an email within three business days. If you have any questions, you can give the Thrift Store a call at (925) 606-1924. Schedule our truck to pick-up if you are in Seattle, Shoreline, or Mercer Island It costs us approximately $75 for each pick-up we do in the community. To offset our costs, we do require a monetary donation. You may self-select from a sliding scale starting at $25 (less than a trip to the dump & your still-useful stuff isn’t going into a landfill!). Call for more info & to schedule as far in advance as possible (we typically need at least 2 weeks notice). ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEAN AND IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION.
