Feeling the soft material, it is difficult to see how something that feels so good can be so practical. Tencel is a naturally hygienic fibre made from 100 per cent biodegradable wood pulp cellulose. It is as cool as linen, soft as silk and even more absorbent than cotton. Tencel's moisture absorption capacity draws away moisture and helps you keep cool even on the hottest of nights. Without moisture the growth of bacteria is inhibited. Without bacteria, mould and mites similarly find life more difficult. The polyurethane layer also acts as an anti allergy barrier - further protecting against mites, which are a major cause of hay-fever and asthma. It has been so good that we also got one for the cot. It is so soft and does not sweat and nothing seeps through to the mattress. I have only given it four star rating as I feel that it is rather expensive, but it does pay to shop around as prices vary.

The mattress is still protected months after use and so far it has washed well at 40 degrees. It is comfy and works well but it says it's breathable and i cant breath through it.
