However, if you are someone who suffers from various aches and pains that keep you awake at night, you might want to consider this type of bed. Of course, there are all sorts of beds on the market that have been specifically designed to make you feel more comfortable, but these can be very expensive which is just one reason why I think you should at least think about an air mattress instead. I have come across a lot of customers over the years who think that owning an air mattress is limited to people who travel a lot. But, they can just as easily be used in the home. In the case of someone who has mobility problems, a bed like this can do wonders for all those aches and pains.

Because these beds use air, your body is supported more evenly which means you will find it much easier to get into a comfortable position when you sleep. You will also find that when you move about overnight, you’re less likely to be woken up because your back or other part of your body has hit a lump in the mattress. Among many of the reviews I have put together for you, you will find beds that allow you to choose your own level of inflation and have supporting beams so they feel just like a real bed. Companies have also made inflating and deflating an absolute breeze. In fact, some of the very best air beds come with remote controls so there is little or no effort required from you. This is something else many manufacturers have thought about, especially for people who have back problems or other issues that can be exacerbated by sleeping on the wrong bed. Some air mattresses come with innovative pumps that sense when air is being lost. When it does, the pump automatically inflates back to the desired level and it won’t wake you up if it happens during the night.

This is something to consider carefully. I have many reviews on low profile airbeds but for you, the best option will be raised. These air beds can be as high as a standard bed which means you get in and out of them in exactly the same way. If you’re worried about the bed tipping or sliding about when you sit on it, don’t be! Firms have thought about all of this for you. Various grips and weights have been added to ensure you don’t end up tipping the bed or moving it when you sit. In fact, it’s sometimes hard to tell the difference between a “normal” bed and an air bed. Just take a quick peek at my review on the Serta EZ Bed and you’ll understand what I’m talking about. All in all, you don’t have to suffer with sleepless nights, and you don’t have to stop taking those beloved camping trips. Best of all, you won’t have to spend an inordinate amount of money to reach the level of comfort you’ve been looking for even if you do have those aches and pains to deal with.

Finding a leak in your Intex air mattress or discovering your pump does not work upon arrival can be extremely frustrating. If you are on a trip in the woods, it is likely you will not be able to use your mattress. If, however, you find yourself at home with a defunct mattress, you can repair it with the right tools. While some air mattresses may come with repair kits for leaks in the air mattress, you may find yourself without a way to fix your broken bed. Thus, it is always a good idea to make sure you have an air mattress repair kit. The internet provides several outlets for learning how to repair a broken mattress and even Intex has even uploaded a custom video which shows viewers how to patch up small holes in an air mattress. Follow These Steps To Repair Your Intex Airbed Identify the hole and deflate the mattress completely. Clean off the area around the hole. Cut out a small patch of material to cover the hole. Add adhesive to the patch and place it over the hole.

Place a heavy object (such as a large book or cement block) over the patched area and leave for twelve hours. Once you have allowed plenty of time for the new patch to stick, inflate the mattress in order to make sure the new patch works. Note: if the patch does not adhere easily or effectively, you may have to sand down the area around the hole before applying the patch. If you purchased a mattress with a flocked cover–one that is covered in small fibers in order to mimic the feeling of suede for additional comfort while sleeping–you should sand down your mattress after step two as the likelihood of your makeshift patch adhering to the mattress is significantly affected by the textured cover. This one to the right gets great reviews and can be used on more than just an air mattress. If your Intex air mattress pump is broken, you can use alternative methods to inflate your air mattress. Some of these methods may prove convenient if you are out in the middle of the woods with no way to repair your pump or if you cannot make it to the store for any reason.
