The staff is helpful. Almost every mattress is made to order, so it is very likely they will have to make your mattress after you order it, which takes a couple of days. I liked that I could get a more premium mattress even though I only needed a twin size mattress. At most stores they only carry "cheap" kids mattresses in twin size or you will pay out the nose for a "premium quality" twin. But after a lot of shopping at various mattress/furniture stores I finally found what I was looking for at City Mattress at a reasonable price.Harry Keeton, Sr., began selling mattress supplies in Fort Worth, Texas, back in 1896. Little did he know that this was the beginning of what was later to become the fastest growing chain of factory direct sleep stores.
His two sons, Harry and Frank took over the business and expanded into Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Arizona, and California; shipping furniture and mattress supplies all over the world. To use a drop-off station, show a recent Fort Worth water bill or current driver’s license with a Fort Worth address to prove you have an active sanitation account. Renters with a Fort Worth address may use drop-off stations if they have a current Fort Worth water bill. Apartment renters may use the stations for recyclables only. Waste loads must be tarped or secured to prevent litter during transport.No dual-axle trailers allowed at the drop-off stations. No commercial vehicles or business waste. No landlord waste from rental properties. No concrete, rock, dirt and ceramic tile. No loose trash or leaves. No explosives or ammunition. No roofing material (residential or commercial). Landscapers and contractors must dispose of waste at a permitted disposal site. Residents must unload their own materials and place them in the appropriate waste container. Citizens can dispose of leftover household chemicals such as motor oil, paint, cleaning products, antifreeze and pesticides for free at the Environmental Collection Center. Fort Worth residents may pick up free mulch at any of the three drop-off stations. Piles are clearly labeled, and are self-serve. Bring a sturdy container and a shovel. If you use a pickup truck, you must use a tarp to cover the load to prevent litter while driving.
Mulch protects plants from temperature extremes, deters weed growth and helps retain moisture so you can water less often. Swap Shops are setup at each drop-off station to provide residents an opportunity to shop for free. Residents can bring reusable items such as bicycles, books, useable lumber and other construction materials, furniture, garden tools/equipment, exercise equipment, etc. to any Drop-off station for re-use by other residents. Drop-off station staff will make final determination for acceptance into the Swap Shop. Although items can be dropped off and taken at no cost, residents are required to sign a liability waiver before utilizing the shop.
