Got a table on a busy Saturday evening. First visit, and first impressions were good - though not quite the cosy pub feel, liked the setup with the style and mixture of tables and chairs. Pretty clean apart from old cobwebs in the corner near where we sat and unfortunately being greeted with a couple of inches of urine in... Wednesday lunch time, 12:30 A few in but not too busy. It soon filled up, by 1:30 it's pretty full We waited over half an hour for our steaks but they were beautifully cooked and very tasty. The chips were a bit greasy but my Sweet Potato Fries were the best I've ever had. Overall we enjoyed it and will...Slighly greasy all round including the room. Sorry will not eat here again. Like fish and chips but below par. Lacking atmosphere and a relaxing environment. Had a family birthday meal 16 people in total, all ordered together and came out together and were hot, portions size excellent as is value for money would definitely recommend,we will be visiting again
Recently visited The Podge and tin for a saturday afternoon meal. Don't normally visit burger bars but thought I'd try it out. Menu has a good selection of burgers and the food is cooked fresh. Nice selection of beers aswell. Food was tasty and filling. Only down side was the cleanliness of the place. Cobwebs and dirty corners. Best fish and chips in the area.I have been a few times now and the service and food A last minute decision to take my wife and youngest daughter out to celebrate my wife's birthday . We decided on the Podge and Tin , so glad we did . Good food at a decent price . Definatly value for money . Will be going again We went in been a few times now love the fish and chips cooked in beef dripping even the kids cod bites are real meaty cod there milk. Shakes are beautiful there was a great guy behind the bar his name was Luke he went out of his way to help in anyway he could just wished all places have... We eat here a lot and never have we had a bad meal.
