G & E Tents, Tables and Chairs was started as a tent rental business in 1986. In 2003 they expanded and acquired Rent-a-Tent of Fredonia NY. In the spring of 2005, G & E joined up with Bob Bankoski of Chadwick Bay Tables & Chairs and changed the business name to G & E Tents, Tables & Chairs. In the fall of 2005, G & E acquired the tent, table and chair business from Taylor Rental and the tent business from Cassadaga Shurfine.
Most recently, in April of 2012, they acquired The Tent Company from Forestville NY. G & E is owned by Bob Bankoski and Bob Karin and is located in Dunkirk NY. They are the largest tent, table and chair rental business in Northern Chautauqua County with 1400 chairs, 200 tables and 40 tents of various sizes. They were voted the BEST tent, table and chair rental business in Northern Chautauqua County in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Timeworn grey and brown tones, saw marks, nail holes, exposed joinery, metal work, and tight wood grain all lend to the harmonious look and feel of Green Gables original designs. Green Gables uses a myriad of materials to sculpt works of furniture art. Old growth white, red, and yellow pine, a bit of butternut, oak, ash, and maple as accents here and there, hand forged iron, re-claimed roof steel, premium leathers, tree bark, and moldings are assembled to create functional artworks that are brimming with character. It’s crafted to last from solid hardwood and finished by hand with light distressing. Made of kiln-dried solid rubberwood.
