We are so very blessed, that in Cincinnati we have a teacher free store called Crayons to Computers. Where literally everything from crayons to computers are FREE! How amazing is the person/people who started this place? They recognized the fact that many of our students are needy and can't afford the basic supplies we ask them to bring. As well as the fact, that we as teachers spend thousands each year on our classrooms. Apparently, there are 42 other stores modeled after Crayons to Computers in the U.S. The amazing part is this store is run entirely with donations from our community! People are so generous.  Below are more pictures of the store and my awesome team! Get ready for picture overload. I can't wait to shop. I was seriously drooling! Here's a really nifty idea: Make chair pockets out of new pillowcases.

Chair pockets are great for holding and organizing items like books, magazines, reading glasses, or just about anything. These are wonderful in a child's room for keeping school books handy, for the sewing room to hold additional supplies and even for use with a beach chair to keep magazines, sunscreen and water bottles out of the sand. Take your pillowcase and turn it wrong side out. The size of the back of your chair will determine what size pillowcase you will need. Fold the pillowcase in half by folding the top or opening of the pillowcase down to meet the bottom. Get the corners even, and while holding the corners, shake it out to remove wrinkles and straighten. If needed, stitch up each side from the bottom edge to the top to adjust the width. You may not need to do this if the pillowcase fits snug over the back of the chair. Keeping one flap free, stitch across the bottom of the pillowcase sewing one of the flaps to the folded edge. Be sure you don't have both flaps sewn down.

Slide one opening of the pillowcase over the back of your chair and you've made a chair pocket! Use different colors and/or patterns for your pillowcase. Decorate the chair pocket with trim around the edges or bottom. Applique flowers or other shapes onto the pillowcase; for a child you could use balloons, for a beach chairs use seashells.
