FURNITURE BANK OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, MARCH 3RD! The Furniture Bank’s vision is for all individuals and families to have the furniture necessary to create a safe and secure environment that contributes to health and well-being. Our mission is to recycle gently-used furniture by collecting it from the community and giving it to individuals and families moving out of homelessness and fleeing domestic violence, as well as countless others struggling to make ends meet. In 2016 alone, nearly 5000 people who had been sleeping on the floor went home with a mattress from the Furniture Bank. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, those families now have sofas for relaxing and tables for enjoying meals and time together, along with other household furniture to make their house a home. We are grateful to our community, without whom we could not do the work we do. The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta is holding its 23rd Chairish the Future Auction and Gala on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 7 p.m., at the Foundry at Puritan Mill.
