The campus B & B is graciously managed by Kimberly's parents, Bob and Yvonne Schwartz. The campus location was built in 1823 with lots of great stories from its history. It has 5 roomy guest suites, a hot tub, and is located only 2 blocks from Bryant-Denny Stadium. Even though the city of Tuscaloosa is geographically oriented toward the Black Warrior River, what matters to the majority of visitors - at least during football season - is the location in relation to the hallowed stadium.
The lakeside property has been a B & B for 8 years. The campus property opened for guests in August of 2015. Both offer gorgeous wedding venues for small, intimate gatherings. The following review is based on the author’s experience at the campus location. Homemade cookies, a basket of complimentary snacks and a fridge with chilled soft drinks and waters are available constantly. Waffle weave bathrobes wait to be worn after a hot shower or bath, along with a flat screen TV, a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board in each room. Unexpected touches, though, are small ice makers in each room, Keurig Hot Drink Dispensers, and PLENTY of electrical outlets beside the beds for all the electronic devices most guests bring. To avoid invading the privacy of guests, the hosts communicate by texts concerning the desired temperature in the guest suites. And, serving times for the bountiful hot breakfasts are flexible according to the wishes of the guests.
