CM4sci from reddit managed to obtain a section of the March 2017 LEGO Brand Store Calendar that has an image of an upcoming Disney 2017 LEGO 71042 Pirates of the Caribbean set. The image is taken from a Chinese LEGO Brand Store Calendar. While the image is blurry, you can see a general figure of a ship (possibly The Black Pearl). Its good to hear that Pirates of the Caribbean is coming back as its been a couple years since we had these sets. Thanks to forum member askthelegoguy for the news. With loads of good stuff being revealed at the 2017 New York Toy Fair, it’s easy to miss some of the cooler announcements. But the LEGO Group did not disappoint with their new sets in some of the best geek-friendly themes they offer. LEGO unveiled new sets in the Star Wars, DC SuperHero Girls, and Pirates of the Caribbean lines today—all of them set to hit stores later this year. We’ve already mentioned the Spider-Man: Homecoming sets, but there were plenty more big reveals. While we’ve seen some of the BrickHeadz from Marvel, DC, and Beauty and the Beast, LEGO unveiled a couple of surprises.

They also revealed everything from smaller, cheaper sets to a large and pricey must-have for collectors. So even if you’re a casual fan, a builder, or a collector, they have offerings for everyone. We’ll detail some of our favorite announcements in the following slides, so make sure you click through and you’ll probably find something you can’t live without. You must be 16 or over to participate in the Brickset Forum. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean returning for 2017? in Everything else LEGO I hope so too and based on the preview it looks like it will be in the movie.I don't desire the re-release of the Black Pearl. It wasn't that great a design to start with. I hope for a tall ship with lots of little intricate detail, and some colour variation. A ship which is made of pretty much only black Lego elements runs the risk of looking just boring. OK, the black pearl has some grey accents, still compared to QAR and IFS it is not as good a set.

I can appreciate a ship done, like the BP, in primarily black and some dark grey, but TLG better design it with lots of detail. #4184   was a very plain build, too plain./wiki/Colour_Palette Sand GreenSand YellowDark Stone GreyTransparent GreenTransparent Brown (smoke)Phosphorescent GreenA lots of gold and silver metalic/pearl accentsAnd a jolly creepy zombie pirate crew! The piece count on that project was 10,000+.  It was beautiful, but completely unrealistic as a production model set. Very unlikely TLG will release sets from movies 1-4, and I expect they will only re-release the BP because it will be in the 5th movie anyway. This series will be about the 5th movie.
