The Amtrak Station is located in Union Station at 400 South Houston Street.




Travel time by DART public transportation should be about 1 hour, depending on the time of day you are traveling. You will connect with the DART system from Terminal A, lower level. Use the Orange Line traveling towards E - Red - LBJ/Central. Exit at Akard Station. From there, use the Blue Line towards Ledbetter and Exit at Union Station. The Amtrak is located on the East side of the Station. A taxi ride will cut travel time to about 30 minutes but there may be tolls. Taxis can be located at all Terminals. An airport guest assistant will be available to help you connect with a taxi between 8:00AM - 12:00AM. Onsite car rentals are handled at the Rental Car Center, located near the south entrance of the airport. Free shuttles run every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day between the Rental Car Center and designated pick up areas outside on the lower level of the airport terminal. The following car rental agencies serve the Rental Car Center: Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty.

DFW offers Skylink, a free automated train service that travels airside, transporting post-security passengers between the airport terminals. Skylink provides quick and easy access to other terminals’ gates, shops and restaurants. Trains run in 2 minute intervals, with a total trip time of 9 minutes for passengers traveling between the two furthest points.




Escalators and elevators to Skylink stations are between two sets of gates at all five terminals. The airport also offers a free landside service that transports airport visitors and pre-security passengers between the terminals. Terminal Link’s green and blue-colored vans run every 10 minutes from 5:00AM - 12:00AM, and are fully wheelchair-accessible. Terminal Link service is also available after hours by phone request. Terminal Link stops are clearly marked in green and easy to spot, with two stops located outside of the baggage claim areas of each of the five terminals. City Shuttle, Yellow Checker Shuttle and SuperShuttle are authorized shared ride service providers, offering door-to-door shared ride or exclusive ride service between the airport and destinations within the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. At the time of this update, an average fare between the airport and major downtown Fort Worth hotels is about $19 per person, one-way. Taxi stands are located on the upper level of Terminals A, B, C and E;




and on the lower level of Terminal D. An Airport Guest Assistant is available onsite from 8:00AM - 12:00AM. After hours, call 972 574 5878 to request a taxi. Taxis are metered, with some offering a flat rate to Dallas and Fort Worth central business districts. At the time of this update, average flat rates between DFW Airport and the city center are around $45 - $50 one-way. One of the cheapest and most convenient ways to travel between the airport and the city center is by DART light rail. The Orange Line runs from DFW Airport Station to stops in downtown Dallas, where connections to other DART lines are available. DART trains run daily from 4:00AM - 1:00AM, with one arrival pre-4:00AM for airport employees and passengers with early morning flights. DFW Airport Station is connected to entry A10 at the lower level of Terminal A via walkway. Trinity Railway Express, or TRE, is a commuter train line that runs between Dallas Union Station and downtown Fort Worth, stopping at DFW Airport Station along the way.




A weekday only train, service is not available on Sundays. To reach the station from the airport terminals, go to one of the designated Remote South Parking bus stops located outside on the lower level of the terminals. Departing every 15 minutes, these buses will take you to the Remote South Parking lot, where you can transfer to one of the buses that go to CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. Buses to the station also depart every 15 minutes. Both the DART light rail and the TRE are part of the same DART public transportation network. Among the fare options is a two-hour pass for $2.50 per person, or a day pass for $5.00. Tickets and passes are sold in kiosks at DART rail stations (including DFW Airport Station) and via GoPass smartphone app. For further information about the DART public transportation network, go to the DART website.
