A 69ft 1996 Jonathan Wilson 4 berth traditional stern narrowboat. This is an absolutely sumptuous boat.From its gold plated taps in the bathroom to the Bose sound system and remote controlled rising Samsung TV, every inch of City of Sheffield spells luxury.
The large saloon area at the front of the boat has a Hi-Flame Baby Gabriel solid fuel stove and a very smart sideboard and more storage, followed by the dining area opposite the side hatch. The galley has all mod cons, Zanussi hob, Whirlpool fridge and freezer, Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer - even a dishwasher plus the essential storage that everyone needs in a kitchen. There is even a Brita water filter tap.The bathroom is beautiful with amazing tiling designs and stained glass portholes. The massive 700 litre tank at the front of the boat ensures the shower has excellent pressure.The large double bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space with the added benefit of lots of mirrors that help add light to the room.The warm rich colours and the teak woodwork throughout this boat give an overall feeling of pure opulence.Absolutely must be viewed. However, all the nice places where I wished to stay, also had functions on. No guarantees that we could have our time without overflow from weddings. Level Contributor“” Booked a room with a balcony in one part of the complex, and was mysteriously "upgraded" to another building with no working lift (apartment was on the second floor), no balcony, and a decidedly average room that bore no resemblance to any of the imagery you'll see here.

The facility is centrally situated and just a five minute walk from the city centre with an excellent choice of restaurants and night life. The staff member who met us to show us in was extremely helpful. Very good value for money and a great venue to meet up with our extended family to raise a toast to our newest member of the family. We had 3 double beds between us, but we're all friends so sharing was fine. There was plenty of space for us to relax and get ready before going out.
