Great Spots for Outdoor Dining and Drinking in Seattle Seattle's finicky late summer/early fall weather is upon us, but it seems there are still a few warm, sunny days in the forecast. Restaurants and bars all over town have long since broken out the patio furniture, so when the moment arises you'll want to be ready to seize it and stock up on vitamin D. Eater has you covered with this map, a sampling of Seattle's best patios, from breweries with al fresco seats to restaurants that serve entire meals outdoors. Get your patio fix while you still can, people. Note: Map points are ordered roughly north to south and are not ranked by preference. Patio details are subject to change without warning; please let us know if you spot any out-of-date information. Have you discovered a new spot sporting a plush patio? Show it some love in the comments, send an email, or start a forum thread in its honor. 1 Chuck's Hop Shop Chuck's is known for its ridiculously diverse tap selection and the reliable presence of food trucks.

What could be better than sipping your suds on the patio with your neighbors and friends? 2 Brimmer & Heeltap The gorgeous patio at Brimmer & Heeltap is a perfect fit for the restaurant's outstanding menu and original cocktails. Whether you're gathered around the fire pit or settled around a table with your pals, this leafy spot is straight up dreamy. 3 Percy's & Co. There are a handful of bars with outdoor seating on Ballard Ave., but few if any are prettier than the verdant back porch at Percy's. A Balmed Julep in one hand, some chili-lime popcorn in the other, and you're set. The patio at King's Hardware is partially covered and heated for those finicky days. You can't go wrong with a cocktail or cold beer, hot wings or a specialty burger. It's atypical for the words "kid-friendly" and "great cocktails" to be seen in the same sentence but they fit Ballard Loft. It's a welcoming spot to watch a game or drink a microbrew with friends (and friends with kids), and it doesn't feel too hip or pretentious.

6 Giddy Up Burgers Giddy Up's covered patio sprawls across 1,500 square feet. Even when it's chilly out the windows have a lovely greenhouse effect, making this a perfect spot to scarf a burger any time of year. 7 Saint Helens Cafe Josh Henderson's brasserie is situated right next to the Burke-Gillman trail, so grab your bike or hover board and head over. The large patio is covered so you don't take home a sunburn, and there's a big fire pit for the inevitable chilly evenings. Uneeda's garage doors roll open onto a half-shaded, half-open air patio filled with plenty of picnic tables that look onto Fremont Ave. 9 Rock Creek Seafood & Spirits As if this seafood spot weren't already gorgeous enough, its outdoor fire pit and string lights put it over the top. As the name would suggest, Rooftop Brewing Company's space is made for outdoor imbibing. The expansive patio is outfitted with picnic tables, so bring your buddies and your favorite board games and stay a while.

The Curbside food truck is there daily serving burgers and snacks, the perfect excuse to sample several of Rooftop's fine beverages. Whether you're huddled around the firepit drinking a cocktail or eating dinner on the covered patio, Revel's outstanding fare tastes that much better al fresco. Adirondack chairs line up on north Lake Union's shore for an amazing view outside of Josh Henderson's Westward. Plus, there are blankets and a fire pit for after dark. Branded at Almquist Family Vintners The former Book Bindery-turned-Hommage is now Branded, and the ship canal location is just as lovely as ever. Chef Brandt Bishop is at the helm, creating small plates that pair with the wine crafted on-site. Bishop is rolling out the atrium and the upstairs bar later, but right now the wine garden is worth a visit. Little Water Cantina in Eastlake sports a damn fine patio with communal seating overlooking Lake Union. Add some fresh guac and chips, and you've got it made. The Independent Pizzeria's small patio looks towards lovely Lake Washington.

Just be sure to digest your food before you swim. This seafood-focused walk-up window from Radiator Whiskey owner Dan Bugge may be minimalist in terms of service, but its patio is lovely. Ogle uber-expensive yachts and watch float planes land while you work on your tan, or opt for a covered spot near soon-to-open White Swan Public House. Linda's large back patio has plenty of seating and heat lamps. Perfect for sipping a Rainier and eating a whole bunch of fries. Saint John's Bar & Eatery Saint John's cozy patio shelters diners from the unending construction of Capitol Hill. Bonus: Look for the toy dinosaurs and Star Wars figures. Marjorie's sweet patio feels like a good friend's well-appointed backyard, with a lush canopy of plants and twinkle lights. Bottlehouse's patio is the perfect place to relax with a glass of rosé and a cheese plate. You can't go wrong at the Pink Door, overlooking Elliott Bay. The patio's partially covered, too, if you're trying to avoid a sunburn.

Ivar's Acres of Clams This Pier 54 restaurant sports a large patio right on the water, the perfect spot for scarfing fish and chips while watching the ferries glide past. Marination's epic patio on Alki Beach stares straight at the Seattle skyline. If you're coming from downtown, take the water taxi so you can drink plenty of tropical cocktails with your pork sliders. Duke's in West Seattle recently added a second-floor patio, so now you can eat your pan-seared wild salmon or fish-and-chips while gazing out at Alki Beach and Puget Sound. Bonus: All Duke's locations have decks and/or patio. Beacon Hill's first brewery is pretty short on indoor space, but it does have a killer patio complete with a fire pit. Just opened in February, Perihelion seems made for sun-worshiping; the name, after all, means " the closest point to sun of an object's orbit." © 2017 Vox Media, Inc.
