Yan Law is one of these people. Yan Law is the creator of a magical thing called Dim Dim, or a transparent bubble chair for your pet cat. It’s basically an acrylic bowl with three sturdy wires attached, designed to serve as a bed, chair, swing, or perching spot for your cat. Which is wonderful in itself, because all cats deserve their very own bowl to curl up in – especially one that gently sways in the breeze and rocks them to sleep like the fur babies they are. But what makes this invention extra brilliant is the fact that it’s transparent, so while your cat’s curled up inside you can see the cuteness of their little folded paws and cosy bellies. Basically it’s amazing, every cat placed inside a Dim Dim is adorable, and we desperately want one. Each armchair thereby has advantages and disadvantages: In general terms one can say that natural leather is more sensitive than the treated one. Bright leather chairs are especially sensible against patina emerging from intense usage, sunshine and other environmental influences – some people love such a patina, others don’t. Thicker leather and pigmented leather are more robust against usage but they are also less cosy. When you chose a fabric coated chair there is a similar problem: Natural fibres are more sensitive than synthetic ones. They are more responsive against sunshine and friction. But natural fabrics are better for temperature regulation and humidity regulation than plastic materials. Designer chairs often offer a selection of different fabrics and mix-textiles, since they connect the advantages of natural fabrics and plastic.
