This split-level mountain chalet makes for a classic Colorado retreat destination. Just on the outskirts of charming Buena Vista, Colorado, Red Deer offers access to beautiful trails and wildlife within walking distance from your room. And with its proximity to Monarch, Copper and Cooper ski areas, Red Deer makes an ideal location for small groups looking for a fun ski retreat in the winter and beautiful scenery during the spring and fall. Red Deer has 12 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, and can sleep 40 people. Most bedrooms include a vanity sink and two twin beds. The chalet offers a beautiful view of the Collegiate Peaks from the deck and balcony. It also includes a fireplace, flatscreen TV, large living and dining area, and full kitchen.
And, for your meeting needs, the combined living and dining area offers usable space. Trail West’s Red Deer Chalet is available for church, parachurch, school, military and other non-profit groups for winter, spring and fall retreats. Red Deer is unavailable during the summer, as it’s being used for Young Life’s national family camp program. Red Deer is only available for lodge rental. Plenty of great dining options are available just a few minutes away in downtown Buena Vista, Colorado, if you and your group prefer not to prepare your own meals. Contact us for availability and pricing. Snowshoe is one of our quaint cabins that is nestled into the trees within our grounds. While staying here you will enjoy a cozy bed with the most beautiful fireplace you will find in the lodge. This cabin gives you the immediate feeling that you are one with nature. Combine this with a beautiful deck in which you can relax on our nice patio chairs and you will have a one of a kind experience in which you will never be able to forget.
Additionally, This cabin can accommodate up to four persons. It is half of a duplex and has a shared wall with the Cottontail cabin. Red Squirrel is a quaint cabin that is nestled neatly within the trees of the forest. While staying at this cabin you will have a feeling of being one with nature with the convenience of having your own kitchen as well as an outdoor barbecue grill. This cabin is able to host a maximum of four people as it consists of one queen bed as well as two studio couches within the living room. Eastern Brook is a quaint cabin that combines both a view of our beautiful Jeffrey trees as well as a gorgeous view of the lake. This cabin is able to host a maximum of four people with a queen bed, a studio couch as well as a twin alcove bed. Deer I is one of our four person cabins in which two twin beds and a studio leather couch entice you to rest and rejuvenate. Located only a few minutes' walk from our dock, you can enjoy the rest of the day lounging at our beach or come to the front of the lodge and rent a kayak for the day.
