District Library meeting rooms may be reserved for meetings consistent with the Mission Statement of Jackson District Library. All meetings must be open to the general public. Any group whose use of the meeting room would constitute a violation of Federal or State Constitution would not be allowed to use the room. Dues and/or fees as a requirement may not be charged. Please review our Services Policy for the regulations regarding the use of library meeting rooms by non-library groups. Whistlestop Park & Depot Rental Information The Depot is available on many days for private rentals utilizing the building and grounds for weddings, showers, reunions, graduations, anniversaries and other reception arrangements according to the following: $150.00 For Groups of up to 85 people $200.00 For Groups of up to 85 people and alcohol service. (Alcohol service requires the addition of Liability Insurance.) An open house with a few tables and chairs can accommodate 125 people. A function with 8 to 10 tables and chairs can accommodate 85 people. Rental deposit is refundable if facilities are clean and not damaged. Beautiful park surrounds the grounds. Many Downtown Events in the community involve the closing the street in front of the Depot. That may often cause disruptions for private rentals.
