Assortment are also better in some areas but most importantly, there are associates in this store who are very customer service friendly ! The gentleman with glasses who greets at the front of the store is personable but also a very good sales associate. We had gone to Lowes several years back because their service and assortments were better as we perceived them. That has changed - it now appears that Home Depot Forest City is giving Lowes a run for their business ! items that I couldn't find, the representative walked me around to the item and explained how to use it. I love home depot the stores are clean and pretty easy to find stuff. If you cant find something employees are always very happy to help. Found what I needed and had to return because didn't work.
Melissa was very nice did not give me a hard time. Even when I bought it the cashier helped me and was very pleasant. She helped me use the self check out. Now that I am used to the self check out I like it. I didn't like it at first. But the cashier always helps you I can count on it. Associates in this store on Sunday January 15th were "Outstanding in their level of Service". Particularly, in the Tub / Plumbing / Shower area. They are to be commended for their level of knowledge and their great attitudes. Cashier was also friendly. We have shopped in Lowes Altamonte probably 75% of the time when we needed something; That is going to change. Over the weekend , we ended up spending over $600.00 at Home Depot . There are only 2 places where I see a need for improvement ; the men's bathroom (dirty) & the lighting department. The Altamonte store has looked under stocked and stale in Lighting / Fans for several years. The Apopka store is better stocked with Fans & Lighting. Someone needs to discuss this with corporate - you're loosing business in this area !
I've been going to this store since it opened and it seems to have gone down hill in the last year or so. The service a customer receives has dropped and so has their amount of employees with knowledge in different areas. I most likely will frequent a different Home Depot or go to Lowe's like I did today. Caleb W. is an excellent asset to the Customer Service Department. His first day was yesterday and he rocks! If you have issues ask for him and he will be happy to HELP. Fantastic service, friendly and responsible. I cannot thank Jennifer from the Pro-Desk enough!!!! I am an insurance agent helping a customer obtain home insurance. The customer threw away their receipt of the home repairs he did and through only a bank statement, Jennifer found it and helped him finish what he needed to get to finalize his home insurance. I would have been LOST if Jennifer would not have found that receipt and Jose would have been at risk of not having home insurance. Thank you so much Jennifer for going above and beyond!
Patricia (cashier) saved me $25.00 by offering the Home Depot Card (which I applied for right then and there) and that had never been suggested before, just asked if I wanted to put it in my Home Depot Card, which I did not have.
