Branell Homestead is located a few minutes from Laidley, just one hour from Brisbane, 30 minutes from Ipswich and 45 minutes from Toowoomba. Weddings at Branell are very affordable because instead of charging per person for food and alcohol, a flat venue hire fee is charged for the use of the Wedding Pavilion and you are allowed to organise your own caterers and alcohol. This means you can have a very personalised, stylish, self-catered wedding at a beautiful location and it does not have to cost you the earth. We allow you to set up your wedding or event in a style that suits you. Some people bring along their own old-fashioned furniture, couches and rugs and turn the Pavilion into a relaxed reception area. Others have set up all of their tables and chairs on the lawn in front of the Jetty to have their reception under the stars. You are welcome to use any type of furniture you like for your reception, however, if you would like to hire some of our table and chairs, just click here to download our prices. Please note: We only take accommodation bookings online via the BOOK ACCOMMODATION button six months in advance. If you click the BOOK ACCOMMODATION button and try to book a date that is more than six months away it will display as sold, even though it may be available.




Some couples check our BOOK ACCOMMODATION button attempting to see if we have availability for their future wedding date which is more than six months away. The accommodation booking system says that their date is �SOLD' when in fact it could be available. Paid all day parking close by at Water/Herries St Car Park. 12 laptops with internet access, a lectern and portable whiteboards are available to be loaned free of charge. Connector HDMI and VGA cables available to be loaned to connect your own laptop to the projectors. Only 45 mins of public wifi available per device per day. Catering can be organised via Community Venues staff.
