My granddaughters love it too - says a lot when you have all ages agreeing from teens, twenties and well let's just say a tad older.
If you are a fan of old fashioned diners... We were greeted with a smile at this charming diner with a nostalgic vibe. My husband had the patty melt with sweet potato fries and I had the turkey burger with salad. The meal was served with little wait and the waiter stopped by frequently to ask if there was anything else we needed. The food was delicious. Our family of five love it. Food is really good and the service is really good. Very clean.....food for all ages.Between the 3 of us we had a burger, salad and breakfast. All were well done. Burger was medium size with lots of fries. Salad was big and breakfast large. The 3 of us had plenty to eat for $44.....service was above average. Ruby's Diner is a vintage diner in Whitwood Mall. The decor is fun to see: all white and red, and there is even a dodgem car on display: very "Happy Days". The food is good (it offers plain diner food, nothing too fancy but the portions are large) The service is quick, the place is spotless and the prices reasonable...
We have been going to Rubys for many years. Our children ate here and now we take our grand children. We like the decor and the way we are treated. The menu has not changed much, which I guess is good because it is themed to be like a thirties or forties diner. It is a nice place to eat. Very casual atmosphere - and okay to eat at -- the food was plentiful and the shakes extremely tasty. Don't expect haute cuisine here - this is just a few steps up from in-and-out burgers - but link in-and-out the food is REAL. The waitress was very friendly and did not pressure us to leave even when we were the... We found ourselves here one Sunday evening looking for some light fare for dinner. My husband ended up with the albacore melt, while I decided on the chili. My husband was happy enough with what he had, but I didn't care for the texture of the chili. The meat was stringier than you'd expect chili to be. I ordered the apple pecan Salad without the chicken. When the bill came we were charged for a coffee and a drink that we didn't order.
There was no discount for omitting the chicken on the salad. I had gotten the discount at other Rubys. We ate on the patio and the table,chairs and floor were filthy. i like the decor which kept my grandchildren entertained. prices are good and the menu is great. i especially like the shakes.is a manufacturing company that not only produces our own canopies and tents but also supplies tables, chairs, linens, heaters, fittings, etc. Anything to accommodate to our customer needs.
