Casual cookouts are perfect for one of the large outdoor shelters, while a business gathering can be accommodated at Manchester Meadow’s Soccer Pavilion or at a community room in one of our recreation centers. Emmett Scott’s McGirt Auditorium offers a stage for performances. Birthday parties, family reunions . . . there’s a space for most every need. For sites not listed here, such as single, uncovered picnic tables at one of our parks, these sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Large groups and those wishing to hold a special event at a City of Rock Hill park may need approval from the City of Rock Hill’s Special Events Committee. Security officers may be required when reserving a Parks, Recreation and Tourism facility. Security is at the discretion of PRT supervisory staff or Rock Hill Police Department.

For decades, Glencairn Garden has been a popular location for weddings. Weddings are scheduled year-round with the exception of two weeks in April when the Garden hosts Come-See-Me activities. Nine venues are available, and they include site reservation and an attendant. Some venues are unavailable from October 1 - April 1 due to maintenance. The Garden can accommodate weddings, but not receptions. Many people chose Glencairn Garden for their wedding because of the beautiful, natural surroundings. In keeping with this theme, tents, arbors, glass, balloons, and other props are not permitted.
Some venues have seating walls, and chairs may be used on designated surfaces. Live flower petals can be used, and acoustical music is permitted. Candles with flames are not permitted.
