Cannot say how sad the remodel has made me. No specials, no taps, limited menu. Wanting to be an upscale bar, but likely losing the regualrs...can anyone say AJS??? Great food along with great customer service. The atmosphere is inviting. Each day there is a drink and/or food special. We go here often for Team Trivia night (Thursdays). Lots of TVs for sports, and a stage where they sometimes have a DJ (and karaoke) and perhaps a band. A couple of pool tables and a foosball table. Food is good--and the absolute best fried pickles we have found in the area! Thursday (trivia night) has specials on domestic pitchers... Me and my husband had heard some things about this place and decided to try beautiful on the out side, fun looking atmosphere on the inside; so we decided to sit at the bar for some drinks as we were drinking we noticed a manager in uniform sitting at the bar drinking himself into an oblivion talking horrible about customers;... First impression: Nice sports bar.
Pool, foosball, a couple things I didn't recognize. A ton of TVs, and a projector for if a band isn't playing. A bar side with plenty of tables and high seats, and a restaurant side with chairs and tables (no booths). Potential to go either way. Not too loud, but it wasn't busy at all.... We went to Tie Breakers to hear a friend of ours play live music. We had dinner there and it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go there just for the food. The name is deceiving "Sports Bar and Grill" Wide open space with a very sterile feeling, not sports bar atmosphere at all. Very average bar food and not overwhelming friendly staff. Good news is there is room for improvement! Tiebreakers has new owners and all new staff. You can truly tell the change is all for the better. They redecorated while still trying to keep that ECU theme. New staff is great and very good. Food is great as always, still have all the TV's and all the games! Food and service are pretty good. Not a fancy place. Real supporters of ECU.
