CES: The Best PC Gaming Chair CES: The Best PC Gaming Chair $6,000 Can BuyWe noticed a new product at Corsair's CES suite: a gaming chair. It's still an ongoing project, but it's a new venture from the company. This seems to be an increasingly popular category for many companies, in fact, and it makes sense given that a comfortable chair is an essential accessory for all serious gamers, or really for anyone doing hours of work on a PC. Corsair's new gaming series will be called T1 Race, and the company said it was designed by the same people who design and make seats for racing cars. Of course cars have functional and safe seats, but comfort isn't always a first priority. For these chairs, however, the designers most likely followed a different approach regarding comfort. The chair's chassis is made of steel for durability, and the 4D side arms are made of high quality plastic, featuring a carbon fiber look and finish. Moreover, the chair uses PU material for the areas that come in contact with your body, instead of leather, which is much more expensive.

Because of this design choice (PU instead of leather), the MSRP will be kept at normal levels for a good gaming chair: around $350. Often, good leather chairs easily exceed $500, and apparently Corsair wanted to keep the cost within reach of more people in the gamer community. The T1 Race gaming chair is almost ready. The only part that still holding back Corsair is the choice of the caster wheels, which is crucial for any chair, not only the gaming ones. We tried the chair and it felt comfortable, but our time with it was brief--too brief to form a complete opinion, for sure. We don't have any information on when this product will be available just yet.Taipei, TAIWAN – Aerocool Advanced Technologies Corp., a leading PC gaming hardware and accessories design company, today announced its latest products for Gamers and RGB Enthusiasts at CES 2017. HTC confirmed with UploadVR that rumors suggesting it is planning to launch a second generation Vive headset at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week are false.Rumors of a Vive 2 headset have been circulating for the past couple of days. Citing a Chinese News Agency report, Digitimes said HTC was planning to trot out a second generation Vive with a wireless transmitter at CES.

It was also reported that the new headset would sport two 4K displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, up from 90Hz on the current model. The impending launch was even blamed for a recent price reduction on the original Vive in China.None of it is true."There is no truth to the rumor of launching Vive 2 at CES 2017," HTC said in no uncertain terms. "At Vive, we are laser focused on building out a strong and growing ecosystem for current and future Vive owners so they can experience the best room-scale VR with the most compelling content available."This will come as good news to Vive owners who recently purchased a headset, including those who took advantage of a recent sale. HTC knocked $100 off the cost of the headset on Black Friday and Cyber Monday at every authorized retailer. On top of that, Microsoft sweetened the pot by tossing in a $100 gift code for future purchases from the Microsoft Store. Those discounts helped take the sting out of being an early adopter, though it still would have felt like a gut punch if HTC released a Vive 2 just a month later.
