MAKO MIDORI

Born in Miyazaki in 1944, has had an illustrious career in screen and on stage since 1964, working with famous directors such as Nagisa Oshima. She was awarded the 21st Japanese Film Professional Grand Prize for both her performance in Ryuichi Hiroki’s 2012 film “The Egoists” and for the achievements of her five-decade-long career. Recent appearances are in the TV drama “The Ice Ruts” (2016) and Ikki Katashima’s film “Inumukoiri” (2017).
