Apply a second coat and let that dry for 24 hours. Step 5: Paint Doors Paint the cabinet doors and let them dry for 4 hours. Apply a second coat of paint and let that dry for 24 hours. Step 6: Remove Tape Remove tape at a 45° angle. If adhesive begins to transfer, use a 90° angle. If paint starts to lift, use a sharp tool to cut along the painted tape edge. Re-attach cabinet hinges and then re-hang your cabinet doors. Finalize by attaching your new or existing door pulls. Choose colors that will complement and enhance your existing countertops and flooring.
Consider that lighter colors make a room look more open, while darker colors add a warmth that transforms a look from dated to modern and sophisticated.
