We will be in NYC from Aug. 15 to 20th. We are 2 adults and 2 16 yrs old teens, a boy & girl who won't share a bed. Looking for a double room that allows rollaway or has a sofabed in addition to the double beds. Hi, we stayed at the Affinia Gardens with our 2 teenage children in December and had 2 queen beds and a rollaway and still had plenty of room to walk around the rooms. It's located in the Upper East Side. hotels will have 1 bedroom suites with 2 beds plus a sofabed. Some also have 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suites. What's nice about most of the Affinias is their suites have 2 queen beds plus sofabed while most of the other hotels just have 2 doubles with sofabed. The Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square has the latter as does The Courtyard Midtown East has regular rooms with 2 queens and sofabed. The Marriott Marquis has standard rooms with 2 double beds and will allow a rollaway. The Metro Hotel has 2 bedroom family suites with 1 bed in one bedroom and 2 doubles in the other sharing one bathroom (no sitting room).
What sort of budget do you have in mind? Our doubletree room last week had two double beds and a pullout sofa ) with 2 double beds in the bedroom and a comfortable daybed (a real bed, not a sofabed) in the sitting room. Both have worked for us. Thanks for all the replies. I really don't have a price range, just want to be able to be centrally located. Which Doubletree did you stay at? Also is something going on during Aug 15-20 as I'm finding places sold out? The Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square is the only one with suites as far as I know. They're all 1 bedroom suites except a few 2 bedrooms. Just a busy time this year. Thanks all, I called all the Affinia Hotels--the only one that had a 2 queen suite was the Affinia 50--all the others were sold out. for total of $1316.
