I had the bed for only several weeks when the mattress sagged and became unusable. It is clear the mattress manufacture is faulty. The retailer Eddie Shimmings, Maryport, Cumbria have provided me with a replacement mattress from another manufacturer free of charge. Eddie Shimmings level of customer service has been exemplary. It is a shame that the chief executive of Millbrook Beds cannot return their phone calls regarding this faulty mattress. They went into administration shortly afterwards leaving me out of pocket and with a broken bed.
I contacted Millbrook who not only made me a new bed but delivered, installed it and took the broken one away all at no cost to me. Bought direct from Millbrook, mattress had a fault. Millbrook sent there technician out to us, they then accepted liability and agreed to replace it under warranty this was all in writing from them....then bizarrely enough the MD of the company decided not to go ahead with it and told us to take him to court. The company is in breach of warranty and sale of goods act. If the company doesn't comply within 30 days of us sending them a request we will be taking legal proceedings against them. We kindly ask them to forefill our rights and their responsibilities. Millbrook don't want to know, keep asking for original receipt which they already had four years ago.
