The issue with the prices on the web site it's already fixed.Tomorrow I'll call them to solve it. No, not Canada ;) @TigerMoth Maybe, but if you look at the Brick Bank, it's $169.99USD which is equal to $235.47CAD and our price is $219.99CAD or even the GBHQ, it's $349.99USD which is equal to $484.82CAD and our price is $399.99CAD. It's a bit because of our currency that is really low right now (around $1.40CAD for $1USD) but it's still cheaper here. They used to, then the Canadian dollar absolutely collapsed. So has the Japanese yen. LEGO is probably cheapest right now in Canada and Japan than anywhere else.Funny how they don't complain anymore. I thought LEGO was out to screw Canada?Or maybe they never were and it's simple economics? Yeah, that's probably it.

Small place with some Lego displays, a few rides and a kids playground. Lastly, I feel it's a bit expensive for this level of attraction. Legoland Tokyo is aimed firmly at the 3-10 year old demographic and was more like a big "playland" but included some great models of Tokyo city, a "shootem-up" ride, a 4D movie, and a few activity areas for building lego cars to race on different tracks. Good for kids, yes - and an indoor activity for those rainy days (or... Due to lack of alternative indoor playground for my 7 year old boy, we had to workout 7,200 Yen ie. 2 adults and 1 child to play in a small playground. Nothing much else other than some lego buildings etc. It's NOT MULTIPLE ENTRY so parents beware as you will not be able to reenter if you want to do... A small little place but packed with activities for the little ones. We were not expecting much but this place did keep us there for half a day. There is an ongoing promotion on the entrance fees between Legoland Discovery Centre and Madam Tussauds.

So both venues will keep you busy for a day. good for younger kids, its a small legoland amusement place, suitable for kids ages 2 to 7yo not so much for bigger kids, thats for my observation This is not LEGOLAND. But a small place with few activities. But, for your LEGO crazy kids, this will be a 2-3 hour fun filled experience. You will have a master builder class (very basic), lego train, a small ride, lego car building centre, etc... It's almost like Indoor playground with lego decoration. Definitely young kids thing and it's small that I want to call town not land. I'm not much legs fan compare to my spouse and kid. They seemed to have decent fun together. But don't expect much. My kid were happy when we visited this place.. he could play lego and enjoy every attraction there.. and we can buy any Legos.. worth to visit for children Saw quite a few negative or mediocre reviews of this and half expected to walk out after a half hour wishing I spent the $120 on vodka.

Instead we couldn't drag the kids (three under 8) away until nearly 8 pm (irresponsible parenting I know). The interactive stuff just kept going, 4D cinema (apparently the fourth dimension is getting water... the themed Lego displays are amazing, but it cost us almost $100Au for entry alone fr two adults and one child... lot of lego displays, and some small interactive things, and a 4D cinema, a small playground similar to any indoor play centre; all not too bad. Then our son was super excited to take a lego-building class (interesting experience...WELLINGTON – Lego products are becoming increasingly violent as toymakers engage in an “arms race” to retain children’s attention in the digital age, New Zealand researchers said Monday. The University of Canterbury team said child’s play was becoming more brutal, with a higher proportion of weapons appearing among Lego’s building blocks and war-like scenarios featuring in its themed kit sets. “The Lego company’s products are not as innocent as they used to be,” lead researcher Christoph Bartneck said.

“The violence in Lego products seems to have gone beyond just enriching game play.” In a peer-reviewed study published by the online journal PLOS ONE, the researchers concluded that Lego “showed significant exponential increases of violence over time.” While Denmark-based Lego has been making plastic building blocks since 1949, the study found its first weapons were issued in 1978 when a castle kit included swords, axes and lances. An analysis found that weapons had steadily become more commonplace and were now included in 30 percent of Lego kits. Bartneck said the percentage was probably higher as the data included only small, single-brick weapons, not items such the best-selling Star Wars’ Death Star, which in itself is a giant planet-destroying ray blaster. In addition, the research examined Lego catalogues from 1973 to 2015 and found the scenarios depicted in the company’s kits had become more violent. “Currently, around 40 percent of all pages contain some type of violence — in particular, scenarios involving shooting and threatening behavior have increased over the years,” it found.

“The atmosphere of the violent acts is predominantly perceived as exciting.” The study said Lego was simply reflecting a broader trend in children’s entertainment. “To catch the attention of their customers, toy manufacturers are similarly locked in a metaphorical arms race for exciting new products,” it said. Bartneck also conducted separate research released in 2013 that found the number of angry expressions on Lego figures was rising as the number of happy faces declined. Lego has radically reinvented itself since it almost went bankrupt in 2003-4 as electronic games threatened its future. The privately-held company embarked on a bold strategy to embrace popular culture while shedding “noncore” activities such as clothing lines and the Legoland theme parks. Instead it began selling themed kits linked to popular movie franchises such as “Star Wars,” “Batman” and “Harry Potter.” It also created light-hearted computer games and animation along the same lines, paying off when “The Lego Movie” was a surprise hit in 2014.
