Batman is pretty awesome, but Lego Batman is the awesomest. With The Lego Batman Movie arriving in theaters Feb. 10, Warner Bros. is celebrating the hero's moment of glory by transforming the studio's promotional billboards into elaborate Lego versions, which will adorn the side of the Warner Bros. Studio for the next week. SEE ALSO: 'The Lego Batman Movie' is a pop-culture feast that also gives good Batman In addition to Lego Batman's fellow (but clearly not as epic or awesome) DC heroes — The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and the inhabitants of Bruce Wayne's home town, Gotham — a number of other Warner Bros. TV shows got a Lego makeover for their own billboards: The Big Bang Theory, Mom, 2 Broke Girls, The Middle and Ellen. The display was unveiled Monday morning, with The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, The Middle's Atticus Shaffer and 2 Broke Girls' Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs on hand to witness their characters' transformations into Minifigure form. The billboards line the outer walls of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank and are visible from Olive Ave, in case you happen to be in L.A. and feel like checking them out.

Feast your eyes on the Lego goodness.Fun fact: More than 10,000 Lego bricks were used to create the Lego versions of the billboards, building practical sets and characters to be photographed for each. The creation process took more than 300 hours of building and compositing. Once printed, the billboards took an estimated 70 total hours to install, requiring more than 1,000 feet of aircraft cable and in excess of 4,000 feet of electrical wire. But the original Man in Black (and yellow) isn't content to simply invade WB's billboards — Lego Batman will also pay a visit to The CW's superhero TV lineup to remind them who's boss. If the newly released trailer for The Lego Batman movie is any indication, it turns out that the growly voiced Caped Crusader (played by Will Arnett) enjoys nothing more than chilling out in his cartoonishly cavernous Batcave, throwing on a comfy robe, and nuking a plate of Lobster Thermidor. Oh, and he also likes to beatbox, a skill we’re pretty sure is new to the Bat-canon (unless there was a rendition of “It’s Tricky” in The Killing Joke that we totally forgot about).

The sequel to 2014’s awesomely received The Lego Movie, the latest blockbuster-to-be is directed by Chris McKay, who worked as an animation director on the original film, and has numerous Robot Chicken episodes to his credit. And though this first teaser is pretty much all-Bats, the film also features Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, and Rosario Dawson as Batgirl. We’ll see them go head-to-head in Gotham when The Lego Batman Movie opens on February 10, 2017. Pause at: 1:23 for a quick look at some of Batman’s superhero pals—including Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Arrow—in pursuit of justice. Or maybe just another lobster dish. Essential Quote: “I saved the city again. It was off the chain.”Batman has gone Lego in The Lego Batman Movie, an adorning spoof of today’s larger than life superhero movies. But will these Lego films also spawn its own interconnected universe? Producer Dan Lin says it’s entirely possible and that he would “love to tell more Lego superhero movies.”

In an interview timed with the release of The Lego Batman Movie, Lin says that there are “so many stories to tell” since Lego Batman has “multiple Lego superheroes.”“I hope it’s endless!” he added. “I approached these Lego movies as if we’re trying to reinvent different genres in a Lego way. The first movie was kind of a cult adventure movie, kind of a kids’ Matrix. This one is a superhero movie.” Lin then teased future Lego movies in development, including one that is “a martial arts movie” before going into Lego 2, presumably a sequel to 2014’s The Lego Movie. “I can’t tell you about the other genres, but we’re really looking at each genre and going, how do we tell it in our own Lego way?”Lin’s wish might already be coming true. During this week’s episode of Supergirl, a CW commercial advertising The Lego Batman Movie included a crossover with Lego versions of the Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl, and the Atom from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, all of them voiced by their respective TV stars.

Although it’s just a (really cute and funny) commercial, it’s the first time the DC films have “crossed over” with the television universe./Supergirl on the CWLego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham All Cast & Crew 23 December 2016 | THE best lego game i've ever played.
