We may still be hoping to see a lot more of summer yet but the fact remains that we are hurtling towards autumn and winter. The next major celebration on the calendar is Halloween when we love to scare ourselves silly and have fun with the world of the supernatural. And now you can go on a REAL ghost train to really make the most of the occasion. Severn Valley Valley is offering the chance to “take a thrilling ride in the dark” this Halloween. Here’s all you need to know. It’s on October 27, 28 and 29. Trains depart from Kidderminster on all three of the above dates, at 6pm, 7.10pm and 8.20pm each day. Arrive early at the station at Kidderminster where a spooky DJ will be there to entertain you before the Ghost Train departs out into the night and, hopefully, back again. There will also have a face-painter on hand to give you the perfect Halloween makeover. Travel in the eerie darkness to Arley, passing through haunted stations on the way. When you arrive, prepare to be frightened as the station’s spooky residents come alive.
Make sure you hold tight as there may also be mysterious passengers joining you on the train... Spooky Goody Bags are on offer for all fare-paying children (aged two to 15). Advance booking is required for this event. The fares are: Adult or child £10, plus £1.75 booking fee. The Annual Family Pass is not valid for this event.
