This is my custom Ultimate Machine (also commonly known as a useless machine), which I call the LuuMa EV3. Before I get into the details, you should really watch the video to see what it does. The LuuMa EV3 is a bit more elaborate than your typical ultimate machine. I programmed 6 different actions for turning the switch off and 2 evasive maneuvers for trying to prevent the switch from being turned on in the first place. During normal program operation these are selected randomly. The core ‘robot’, which is shown below, can be built entirely using the parts that come with the Home Edition version of the EV3 (set 31313). I had a blast building this model, programming the responses and playing with it once it was complete. I can’t wait to put it out at a show and watch people interact with it. Great Christmas gift for my son. He really loves it. My son loves it. He is learning how to program and it's challenging but achievable for him. We keep getting sensors as his skills improve. Expensive but it is a nice introduction to programming. Excellent product to get the kids interface with the idea of robotics excellent learning tool for my son .. Kids absolutely love the kit. Its a bit pricey, but the Amazon price was slightly lower than the rest of the options.
