But first, I must admit that when I peeled back door number 3, I thought I had inadvertently opened my Star Wars advent calendar by mistake, as I thought it was another Gonk droid variant! But it is, of course, an amplifier and a microphone stand: So now the firefighting lady from yesterday has an amp to plug her guitar into, and a microphone to sing into; however, I am not sure how effective it will be, especially as the visor on her breathing apparatus cannot be lifted. Maybe one of the snowmen from Day 1 can hum a good tune instead? The microphone stand works quite well, and is just the right height for a minifigure. The amplifier, on the other hand, looks slightly disappointing from the side, as the flat side of the light grey 2877 Profile Brick 1X2 contrasts weirdly with the entirely black surroundings.
But still, it is probably the best that can be done at this scale. Here are the instructions and spare parts for today's model: Today's model gets a score of 4/5, as it is fairly basic, but it does give our lady firefighter something to amplify her guitar with and sing along, however muffled it may sound. She is now a one-woman rock machine with a couple of snowmen in the audience, waiting for their hearts to be melted.
