It's time to make a K'nexion Meccano The original miniature construction kits, Meccano (a word assembled from the phrase 'Make and Know') will always be an alternative to Lego's Scandi-cool. Verdict: for the 'no frills' builder Minecraft If you find moving your arms around and rummaging in a box full of angular plastic pieces simply too much effort to bear, Minecraft is the option for you. The best-selling PC game of all time, which was bought by Microsoft last month for $2.5 billion, Minecraft allows its users to build elaborate structures out of colourful 3D blocks.
